Wattlepool (/wattlepool / [Translation Unavailable]) is a subtropical Town located in Senjiqtmevimusu Parish, Emada County, within the Kingdom of Helsteria.

The name Wattlepool is derived from the Sylvin language, as Wattlepool was founded by Trtêg̈ga Lilley, who was culturaly Sylvin.

Climate

Overview

Wattlepool was founded durring the late 13th century in winter of the year 1194, by Trtêg̈ga Lilley. The establishment of Wattlepool was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Wattlepool 's construction back out of the project. Trtêg̈ga Lilley pushed on reguardles, and Wattlepool was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Wattlepool was built using the conventions of Sylvin durring the late 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Wattlepool is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Wattlepool is buildings have been located at convienant points along the valley Wattlepool was built upon. Navigating the town is therefore a little chalanging as the distance between buildings verris greatly and the narrow cobblestone streets flow where they are able to be made rather than folowing the most convienant paths. The town posesses a fortified albit thin wall of querried stone. This wall posesses most of the features of a castle wall, though it is constructed from cheeper inferior stone. It would pose a minor chalange for an attacking army, though it's clear the wall's true purpose is to crush the hopes of bandits and marauders. The town's failry decent fortifications have recently undergone extensive repairs and renovations, such that the repairwork is imeadiently apparent and can be spotted due to the diffring ages of materials. One can't help but wonder what brought the need for those repairs to the town.

Wattlepool 's chapel was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by vertical proportions, pointed arches, external buttressing, and asymmetry in the general shape of its buildings. The decorative features of the style were key, consisting of large arched windows, pointed arches, vaulted ceilings, flying buttresses, and sculptures integrated into the structure itself. Occasionally, for very important buildings, an array of sculptures or one colossal sculpture might replace the entirety of the entrance to said building.
